Caring Hands, Healthy Hearts - Opening Doors to Care, One Family at a Time

Did you know OPEN M’s medical clinic runs with just two full-time employees, Shannon and Lucy? The rest of the care is provided by our amazing volunteers.

Everyday Shannon and Lucy go the extra mile, even becoming certified to read optical charts and perform dental X-ray scans so patients receive the care they desperately need.

Over the past year the clinic has seen a 35 percent increase in patient visits, showing just how vital this resource is for uninsured neighbors and families who might otherwise go without care.

We are urgently seeking volunteer doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals to help meet the growing needs of our community. Even small commitments of three to four hours every other month or quarterly can make a life-changing difference. We are especially looking for volunteers in orthopedics, chiropractic care, dermatology, podiatry, family medicine, internal medicine, gastroenterology, allergy care and dentistry. Your support through volunteering, donating medical supplies or contributing financially keeps our doors open and ensures families in Akron have access to compassionate, quality care that can truly change their lives.
