8th Annual Walk for Kids

Saturday, May 5, 2012 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

 
Location: Silver Springs Park, The Heritage Barn, Stow

Registration begins at 11 a.m. RAIN OR SHINE!
A 1-mile Walk through the Metro Parks starts promptly at Noon. What a great way to RAISE MONEY for OPEN M while enjoying the sights of the park! It will be fun for everyone!

Park Amenities:
-Dog park with 3-acre lake and obstacle course
-Playground for all ages
-Places to have a picnic
-Basketball area
-Unlimited bike/hike trail for extra exercise!

All walkers should TURN IN THEIR PLEDGE ENVELOPES at OPEN M the week before the walk.  We need committed walkers to help us raise money for the many programs and services OPEN M provides to help fight poverty. Money raised will help children and families with medical needs and to provide  emergency food assistance for families with children.
 

Our goal is to have EACH WALKER RAISE $100 by asking 10 friends, relatives, co-workers, and acquaintances for a donation of $10 or more. Most of our past walkers raised much more than that!
This event is a major fundraiser for OPEN M. Please help us help families in this terrible economy!
