THE FOOD PANTRY
Our shelves are stocked with items from several different sources: donations from churches, individuals and organizations; the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank is a source of many staple items; meat and other specialty items may be purchased through wholesale outlets. Located in our Neighborhood Center, the Pantry is open during the week and provides emergency supplies to families whose stocks are running short.

 

 

 

 

 

 

HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
For the last ten working days of the month, when the need is greatest, many persons come to us for a hot lunch. These meals are prepared by volunteers from among our Covenant Churches and are served at our Neighborhood Center. Delivery of these meals to the homebound is a vital part of this program which seeks to meet a continuing need in our community. In the Summertime, OPEN M provides a mid-day meal for up to 300 persons each day. Many of these are children who are missing the daily breakfasts and lunches supplied by the public schools during the school term.
